# glimpses

> A quiet, private journal for your days. Write your entries, keep your photos, find your places. On the web, on your desktop, in your pocket. Your journal stays in your own Dropbox: we never host a copy and we do not run trackers.

glimpses is operated by Anees, an independent developer. It is currently in beta. The current app is a progressive web app that works on phones, desktops, and any modern browser at app.getglimpses.com. The older Windows app is legacy and the web app is the focus going forward.

## How glimpses works

- Sign in with Dropbox. All journal entries, photos, tags, places and favourites live inside a folder in your own Dropbox account.
- glimpses never holds a copy of your journal on its own servers. There is no glimpses database to breach.
- The app caches your journal locally with browser storage so it works offline. Edits sync to Dropbox when you are back online.
- App Lock encrypts the Dropbox refresh token on the device with a PIN.

## Pricing

- Seven (7) day free trial from first sign-in. No card or payment method required to start.
- One-time lifetime purchase through Stripe after the trial. There is no subscription, no recurring charge, and no pro tier.
- Thirty (30) day no-questions-asked refund window from the in-app Settings screen. The button is called "Refund purchase".

## Privacy posture

- No Google Analytics, Plausible, PostHog, Mixpanel, Segment, or any equivalent analytics SDK.
- No Sentry, Bugsnag, Crashlytics, or other crash-telemetry SDK.
- No advertising cookies, no fingerprinting, no session replay.
- Sub-processors used: Dropbox (sync), Stripe (payments), Cloudflare Pages (hosting the web app and marketing site), Google Fonts (marketing site only).
